Flag Day 2017: the full schedule of dates and some historical facts

A flag day is a holiday which is related with flags, a day for celebration a historical event such as a nation’s adoption of its flag.

Flag days are usually in national statutes, but in some countries a decree by the head of state can also set a flag day. The statute or decree may specify locations where flags are flown and how are they flown.

The dates of the flag day:

The United States of America – June 14

The United Kingdom:

England – April 23

Scotland – November 30

Wales – March 1

Northern Ireland – March 17

Ireland – April 24 or Easter Monday
